Life Beyond the Office: My 8-Year Journey in Japan
Hello, I’m Shivani – a travel writer, photographer, and former corporate IT engineer, originally from New Delhi, India, now living in Japan for almost 8 years.
My journey began in Tokyo, where I worked for an IT company, but I soon realized I wasn’t truly living the life I wanted. I was stuck in a overwhelmed by my office job, and not feeling like myself. That’s when I made the life-changing decision to break free and create space for something more meaningful.
Driven by my love for Japan and fueled by the countless photos, videos, and memories I’ve collected over the years, I decided to build this blog. I’ve learned so much about living, studying, working, and traveling in Japan — experiences I want to share with anyone who dreams of making Japan their home or exploring this beautiful country.
In 2025, I created this blog with three goals: to share my personal travel experiences, to fulfill my own travel dreams, and to provide insightful and practical information for those wanting to explore Japan — whether for study, work, or adventure.
